Online Wedding RSVP Forms!

When we got married we had so many things to do that we wanted to eliminate as much work as possible.
Being technically inclined, we knew that we could get most of the replies by email, and the rest would come by phone. But when you have upwards of 300 people on your guest list, replying to all those emails seemed like a lot of work, and paying for RSVP cards, envelopes, and stamps to include with our invitations wasn’t exactly in our budget. I mean that’s $150 just for the stamps!
So what we decided to do was create an online RSVP form and add it to our Wedding Website. We created the form using online database software we use in our family consulting business, LRS Consulting. We also created an HTML email that would be sent out automatically to anyone that filled out our RSVP form.
All we had to do was add our URL (www.seanandkatlyn.com) as an option under the “RSVP by” line on our invitations. When people filled out the form, they received our auto-responder email instantly to assure them that we got their RSVP. At our end, we received an email from our database program containing all the information our guests filled out online. All we had to do was add the names to our confirmed guest list we created in Excel. No replies to worry about. After all, having to write a similar reply to every RSVP email that comes in can get a little bit redundant and time consuming!
